Become a Mentor
Thank you for your interest in becoming a mentor for Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Ocean State. Being a “Big” is something just about anyone can do. The main need is a willingness to be a caring, consistent, and safe role model with a desire to share a friendship with a child. To become a mentor you must be open-minded, non-judgmental and open to diversity (race, ethnicity, culture, religion, class and sexual orientation). With the emphasis on building a long-term mentor relationship, Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Ocean State provides the essential training, tools, and guidance needed for success. BBBSOS encourages no- or low-cost activities and also provides a free monthly activity open to all matches.
